Elon Musk Is Faking AI Dread for His Neuralink Startup
When AI scientists become troubled by Elon Musk’s headline clickbait rants of fearing what AI will become, they don’t understand sales. When your brand is as powerful as Elon’s or Donald’s, you abuse that fame. Sales is all about creating fake pain points, artificial need, and classic deception.
In this light, one doesn’t need to be literally worrying about what Elon Musk is saying this week.
Have you heard? Elon Musk thinks the singularity is now closer to 2025 than 2045. So what? Elon wants society to become more used to the idea of brain implants and startups like OpenAI and DeepMind getting some serious impacts on society.
Elon Musk Advocates the Symbiosis with AI Via a Brain Computer Interface
Neuralink is among Elon Musk’s more insidious ideas. It involves the race to the BCI, the brain-computer interface, the next phase after mobile phones.
Here’s the thing. AI is one of the stories of the 21st century. We live in a world:
- Where AI can identify prostate cancer and various ailments sooner and patient outcomes better than humans.
- Where construction is increasingly being done by robots, thanks to AI.
- Where music, poetry and art can be simulated by AI fairly well.
Still, don’t you wonder why the Silicon Valley transhumanists (and later China) want to put implants in your head? Skip to 0:42 to hear Elon Musk introduce Neuralink. It also appears that Elon Musk talks like a robot on purpose. Neuralink is not a health-tech company by chance. It’s the most profitable way for adoption to take place.
Because anything could be a brain disorder. Even the fear of AI itself.
It’s fairly obvious that Elon Musk’s gloomy doomy outlook on AI and his fear of it is pretty far fetched and ultimately self-serving.
Elon Musk is a trippy salesman, often believing his own ruse. He said AI was more dangerous than nukes, a very Terminator thing to say.
While his OpenMind competes indirectly against DeepMind, he’s now said he’s also terrified of what DeepMind will become. What a coincidence!
Elon Musk and many other billionaires use AI as their cash cow in an uncertain future. If Tesla is a tech company, manufacturing should be done by robots and automated factories. If you drink the Elon koolaid, you become essentially all that the white man can be in 2020, a con of the highest order. So why is this a problem? It’s like the man who cried wolf. One day, AI might actually become a complicated problem. This is because AI regulation is so far behind in the 2020s.
China Will Frame the Ethics of the Next Iteration of AI
China will win the race to AI, and weaponize it against us. The winner creates the rules of the next age. Long after Elon Musk is dead, with neuralink implants and all.
Elon Musk warning us that humans risk being overtaken by artificial intelligence within the next five years is not news. It’s the manipulation of algorithms and those prophets of AI that we now choose to listen to. But AI is not about personal brands like that of Elon Musk.
What OpenAI, DeepMind, Neuralink and Chinese AI companies like ByteDance become will change the world. AI in business sees challenges as a war game. Put in the hands of the Chinese, it really does become a dangerous thing. India has identified most Chinese tech companies as working hand in hand with the PLA, China’s military.
Elon Musk has been sounding the alarm about the potentially dangerous, species-ending future of artificial intelligence for years. But sadly, it’s probably a ploy for his own businesses, like Neuralink and OpenAI.
The fear of AI won’t likely become serious in our lifetime. But in the lifetimes of our children and grandchildren, it could really come to pass.
- In 2016, the billionaire said human beings could become the equivalent of “house cats” to new AI overlords.
- The recent interview with the NYT is troubling because it shows Elon Musk is both a prophet of doom and a con artist of how social media has warped the truth.
A world modulated even by dumb AI is wreaking havoc with democracy, the media and the future of capitalism itself. What would a strong AI or a general artificial intelligence do to us?
Elon Musk’s Fear of AI Creates Opt-In to a World of an Elite Form of Slavery
When I think of Grimes, the future Prince of Canada and the ethics of Elon Musk, I don’t know about you, but I don’t envision a better world. I understand Bezos and Musk grew up reading Asimov and such. I get it. But that’s no excuse for having a robot soul and a dark deception of the heart.
How society and a select elite use AI to weaponize data against humanity, we call “Future Sin” at the Last Futurist. Elon Musk is today a bit like the Jeffery Epstein of prostituting AI for profit. And everyone from Google to China is doing it.
He has no idea what it means to be a normal human being on Earth. And so he has no right to say that a stimulus package is ‘not in the best interests of the people’. Elon Musk fearing AI is like Bill Gates fearing a pandemic. They both profit greatly from pandemics that slow their competition and bring the singularity a step closer.
One one hand Elon Musk tells us to fear AI supremacy, and on the other he offers us the red pill of a chip that can cure autism, schizophrenia and anything else undesirable. That’s not salesmanship, that’s a tech con.
